Hi there

Thanks for stopping by!

My name is Jon Batt, and I'm about to kick into a new business idea around professional learning in the public sector.

Before I start, I really want to hear about your experiences as a learning and development professional in the public sector.

Take a look at the points below, and if you can spare 15 minutes for a phone call, I'd love to chat. There's a sign up form at the bottom of the page.

Cheers,
Jon

Current state

I've spent the better part of the last decade working in change projects across large organisations in Wellington.

There's been a few things that stand out:
Everyone is working hard, and there's always more going on than can reasonably be done (and that doesn't look like it's going to let up)Organisational restructures are more common than they ever have been beforeL&D budgets are stretched.

Problem

Put all this together, and you get a rapidly changing work environment where people are in new roles more often, frequently in newly established teams. This makes getting upskilled hard.

On top of all this, the wider environment is changing fast. COVID has accelerated organisational change for many agencies - and dramatically changed the way we work.

A new way?

I've been thinking about this for a while, and now seems like a good time to find a better way to do up-skilling across the public service.

There's heaps of great programmes out there, but it still seems like it could be easier.

I'd like to have a crack at doing something about that.

You are the answer!

Got 15 mins to chat? I'd love to talk more about this with people in the industry.

Ideally you'll be someone who working in learning and development in the New Zealand public sector.

Fill in your details below and I'll get in touch ASAP!

Thank You!!

I'll be in touch shortly.
